Baked S'mores
¾ cup sugar
¾ butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
1 ¼ cups butter or margarine, melted
3 ½ cups chocolate chips
½ cup peanut butter
4 ¾ cups miniature marshmallows
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, add sugar and butter. Beat in egg. Mix in flour, stir thoroughly. Add graham cracker crumbs.
Step 3: Spread 3 cups of graham cracker mixture into 13x9-inch baking pan, evenly. Press firmly to form a firm crust.
Step 4: Melt chocolate chips in microwave for 30 to 45 seconds, or until melted. Remove, add peanut butter and stir.
Step 5: Pour chocolate and peanut butter mixture over crust, evenly.
Step 6: Sprinkle remaining graham cracker mixture over chocolate and peanut butter.
Step 7: Top with marshmallows.
Step 8: Bake 20 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted. Cool slightly and serve.
Tip: Place graham cracker crumbs in a large plastic bag. Use a rolling pin to roll across bag to make graham cracker crumbs.
Makes 16 square servings.
